Colonized Mars - Martian city lights from space

How would a colonized Mars appear from space? Here is a FHD wallpaper with lights of two large cities on Mars as they would be seen from space; created by an uncredited artist for the Mars City Design platform:

Two FHD wallpapers (1920 x 1080) with the city lights of a large city on Mars as they would be seen from space. The images were created by an uncredited artist(s) for HP's "Mars Home Planet" rendering challenge in 2018 inviting participants "to imagine, create and virtually experience a sophisticated civilization on Mars. A new home for one million humans."

Renders of SpaceX Starship SN8 launch, landing and mid-flight by Bart Caldwell

American space artist Bart Caldwell, known on Twitter as Neopork, recently has created some of the best and most detailed renders of SpaceX's Starship. His renders looks almost as actual photos. Here are his renders of Starship SN8 test vehicle in launch, landing and mid-flight configuration in the sky above Boca Chica, Texas.

SpaceX Super Heavy block 1 will have landing legs as Starship

Elon Musk has confirmed that the initial version (we will call it block 1) of SpaceX's Super Heavy booster will have similar landing legs as the Starship and only later versions of Super Heavy will/may land back on its launch mount. Reese Wilson has made unofficial render of the most recent design for full stack Starship & Super Heavy.

Ice deposit in Korolev crater

Water ice deposit in Korolev crater at the northern polar plain on Mars. This recent image is taken by the European Space Agency's (ESA) Mars Express orbiter. Korolev crater is 81 kilometers (51 miles) in diameter and naturally traps the cold air in it continuously replenishing the ice deposit with fresh layers of ice. The ice sheet is up to 1.8 kilometers (1.1 miles) thick and it is estimated the crater holds about 2200 cubic kilometers (530 cubic miles) of water ice.

NatGeo's "Mars" TV series - cover art for season 2

Season 2 of National Geographic's MARS part documentary, part fiction TV series is starting today. In season 1 the series depicted first human mission to Mars and hardships of building a base on Mars. The six-episode season 2 will dig deeper into the challenges of life on Mars, from the first Martian-born babies to first commercial efforts to exploit the planet's resources.
